Request Account Deletion

Basellimo Driver Operations users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to request deletion

From inside the Basellimo Driver Operations app

1. Sign in to the application.

2. Open Profile.

3. Open Privacy & account.

4. Select Request account deletion.

5. Submit the deletion request.

The request will be reviewed by Basellimo.

If you no longer have access to the app

You can also request account deletion by email.

Send your request to:

info@basellimo.ch

Please send the request from the work email address associated with your Basellimo Driver Operations account whenever possible.

You may write:

Subject: Basellimo account deletion request

Please delete my Basellimo Driver Operations account and the personal data associated with it, subject to any legal retention requirements.

What will be deleted

Where applicable, the following information may be deleted or anonymised:

• account and profile information;

• information that is no longer necessary for operational purposes;

• device and notification identifiers;

• other personal data that no longer needs to be retained.

Information that may need to be retained

Deleting an account does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every historical business record.

Certain records may need to be retained where required by law or where necessary for legitimate business, insurance or legal purposes.

These may include:

• working-time records;

• employment-related records;

• work-session history;

• vehicle check-in and check-out records;

• vehicle-damage reports;

• insurance-related evidence;

• information relevant to an ongoing legal claim.

Where such information must be retained, access will remain restricted and the information will only be kept for the applicable retention period.

GPS information

Detailed GPS coordinates and route points are normally retained for a maximum of 60 days and are automatically deleted after that period, unless specific data must be preserved for an identified legal obligation or legitimate legal claim.

Processing time

Deletion requests will be reviewed as soon as reasonably possible.

Basellimo may contact the user where additional information is required to verify identity or determine whether certain records are subject to mandatory retention.
